2019 – RESULTS OF THE REGIONAL STAGE OF THE XIII NATIONAL QUALITY CACAO CONTEST

The organizing committee formed by the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, and the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cacao began the contest on March 15, 2019. The contest is being developed in stages according to the schedule of scheduled activities.

A total of 163 samples were received, and during the Fifth Stage (June 3rd to 14th) the physical and sensory evaluation of the cacao samples received at the regional headquarters level took place, resulting in the following:

37 finalist samples passed to the National Stage and have been coded by NSF INASSA for the subsequent elaboration of the samples to be evaluated by national and international tasters.

The unveiling and presentation of results and awards will take place on Saturday, July 13th at 7:00 pm during the development of the X Edition of the Cocoa and Chocolate Salon 2019 at the Jockey Exhibition Center.

The organizing committee congratulates the organizations and producers that have reached this stage. We also appreciate the active and professional participation of the regional directorates and tasters involved in this process.
