2019 – WINNERS OF THE XIII NATIONAL QUALITY CACAO CONTEST

Last weekend, Lima witnessed the prominence of chocolate and cacao producers, as the XIII National Cacao Contest was held within the framework of the X Cocoa and Chocolate Salon.

In the Regional Stage, 163 samples were evaluated, of which 37 were selected as finalists to move on to the National and International Stages and be evaluated by a committee of expert tasters. The organizing committee, formed by the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, and the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cacao, awarded the top five winners that had been selected this past Saturday, July 14th.

The organizing committee congratulates the organizations and producers that have participated. We also appreciate the active and professional participation of the Regional Directorates, NSF Inassa, TCHO, Cropster Inc, and the tasters involved in the development of the contest.
