How we promote Peruvian cacao
National advocacy
We work by establishing alliances with various national institutions, such as technical round tables, unions, and ministries, in order to promote the producers’ interests.
International partnerships
We collaborate with international organizations to design and implement projects that promote improved productivity, environmental conservation and transparent trade in the cocoa sector.
Market development
We connect interested buyers with our partner cooperatives. We share information about our partners’ cacao offerings through marketing platforms.
Trainings and certifications
We offer training and certification opportunities. We are an entity accredited by SINEACE to certify both members and non-members in the standards of Production of Cacao Saplings, Specialist of Post-Harvest of Cacao, and Professional Cacao Sommelier.
Events
We organize The National Quality Cacao Contest, The National Chocolate Contest, and The Cacao and Chocolate Salon every year in collaboration with several national and international partners.

Our history
APPCACAO was started on December 14, 2004 thanks to the initiative of small producers organized in associations and cooperatives.

No, APPCACAO facilitates trade by providing information in a transparent manner about cacao offerings on behalf of its partner cooperatives. APPCACAO acts as a connector, promoting Peruvian cacao and helping interested buyers find the best cacao in Peru.
We do not do this, but many of our cooperatives do have the capacity to send samples internationally, depending on the profile you are looking for and the destination country.
We do not handle shipping or export directly, but we have partner cooperatives that have these capacities. Please send us an email with your order and we can coordinate the logistics to your destination country.
